Low population density areas are regions with a population of less than 100 people per square kilometer or a GDP per capita less than 75% of the national average (for example: the regions of Alentejo, Comporta, Aljezur, Valença, Tavira).
The autonomous island of Madeira or the Azores are not included in low population density areas.
Option 2. Company registration + creation of 5 jobs

Residence permit and Portuguese citizenship
Initially, the investor receives a temporary residence permit in Portugal. A temporary residence permit (residence permit) is a document that gives foreign citizens the right to stay in the country for a specified period.

Investor's family members
The Portugal Golden Visa gives the investor the right to obtain a residence permit and move to Portugal with family members.
The investor’s family members receive a renewable resident card, which expires at the same time as the main applicant’s residence permit.

Taxes for investors in Portugal
Once you receive your Golden Visa, you do NOT automatically become a Portuguese tax resident.
An individual is considered tax resident in Portugal for tax purposes if they spend more than 183 days in the country in a 12-month period or maintain a permanent residence there.
Tax residents are taxed on their worldwide income, while non-residents are taxed on their Portuguese-source income only.
Personal income of Portuguese tax residents is taxed at a progressive rate from 14.5% to 48% for annual income exceeding €78,000.
Non-residents are subject to personal income tax at a flat rate of 25% on income earned in Portugal
Additional solidarity rate varies from 2.5% to 5%, and may apply to taxpayers with taxable income exceeding €80,000
Gifts of property are subject to stamp duty at a rate of 0.8%. Portugal has no wealth taxes.
