The EU Blue Card is a residence permit that allows its holder to live and engage in highly qualified professional or labor activities in Portugal.

Proof of sufficient financial means to reside in Portugal
Proof that the applicant has adequate accommodation in Portugal
Criminal record certificate from the country of citizenship
Extract from the official register confirming the issuance of an EU Blue Card by the country of origin or an EU member state that previously granted the Blue Card
Employment contract for a highly qualified position with a duration of at least one year and an annual salary at least 1.5 times the national average wage in Portugal
Health insurance or proof of coverage by the Portuguese National Health Service
For regulated professions: Documents proving the applicant’s higher professional qualifications in the specific field mentioned in the employment contract or required job offer
For non-regulated professions: Documents verifying professional certification as specified in the employment contract
