Digital Nomad Visa Program in Cyprus

The Cyprus digital nomad visa is available to non-EU citizens who can perform their work independently and work for an employer registered abroad, or perform work for companies or clients based abroad.
The aim of the program is to strengthen Cyprus as a hub for e-services where, combined with the other advantages offered by Cyprus, the attraction of digital nomads will contribute to the development of the business ecosystem and consequently to the economic development of the country.
Basic requirements for digital nomads in Cyprus
✓ have sufficient income to support yourself and your family
✓ not seek employment in the country
✓ open a bank account
✓ buy or rent real estate
✓ have no criminal record
📌 Minimum income
Digital Nomad Visa holders must earn at least €3500 per month.
If there are family members, the income amount is increased by 20% for the spouse/civil partner and + 15% for each child.
Digital nomads in Cyprus must prove their income with an employment contract or other relevant proof and a bank account.
The main benefits of the program for digital nomads

Visa procedure for digital nomads
Within three months from the date of arrival, the applicant must submit the relevant application, together with the necessary documents specified in the relevant document lists, to the Department’s central offices in Nicosia in order to obtain a temporary residence permit.
All documents attached to the application must be officially translated and must be duly certified/authenticated:
- A valid passport (valid for at least 3 months after the end of the visa).
- Evidence of remote work (employment contracts / business documents).
- Proof of income: 3500 €/month (single), 4200 €/month (digital nomad with spouse/partner), 4830 €/month (digital nomad with spouse/partner and child).
- Bank statements and paystubs as proof of income.
- Health insurance for 30,000 € with healthcare coverage in Cyprus.
- Criminal record certificates for the applicant and dependents.
- Documents on the place of residence (lease/purchase agreement).
- Notarized passport size photos (2 pcs.).
- CV and/or resume.
- Letter of Intent to reside in Cyprus.
- Declaration of no provision of services to Cypriot companies / clients.
If the applicant is legally residing in Cyprus under another status, he/she may apply for a temporary residence permit as a Digital Nomad at the Department of Civil Registration and Migration in Nicosia. The application may be submitted in person or through an authorized representative. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Any changes in the applicant’s data during the application process must be reported immediately.
A temporary residence permit requires biometric data (photograph, fingerprints and signature), which can be submitted at the time of application or later at designated offices of the Department. For children under six years of age, only a photograph is required. The renewal application with the required documents must be submitted at least one month before the expiration date of the permit. The applicable fees must be paid at the time of submitting the renewal application.
In case of a positive decision, the applicant will receive instructions on how to obtain a temporary residence permit. In case of refusal, a letter will be issued stating the reasons for refusal.

- Registration in the Register of Foreigners (only in case of initial registration): €70
