The Malta Nomad Residency program offers residence permits to non-EU citizens, allowing them to live and work remotely in Malta.

Requirements for obtaining a residence permit for digital nomads
Applicants must initially be citizens of non-EU countries and possess a monthly income of at least 2,700 euros.
Possess a valid health insurance policy.
Purchase or rent property in Malta.
Applicants must also demonstrate that they fall into one of the following categories:
— Hold an employment contract with an employer registered in a foreign country.
— Engage in commercial activities for a company registered in a foreign country, in which the applicants are a partner or shareholder.
— Provide consulting services primarily to clients with permanent establishments located in another country.
Applicant’s family members
The following individuals are eligible to obtain a residence permit alongside the main applicant: the applicant’s spouse, minor children, and economically dependent adult children.
Application fees for Malta residence permit
Government fees for applying for a Malta Nomad Residency are €300 for the main applicant and €300 for each additional applicant. The cost of legal services varies depending on the number of family members and the complexity of the application.
